The HR Business Partner (HRBP) – Employee Relations serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and employees, providing expert guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and compliance. This role ensures a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach to employee management while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Case Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
Conduct impartial and thorough investigations related to employee concerns, misconduct, and policy violations.
Provide guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies, labor laws, and company procedures.
Recommend appropriate corrective actions and ensure consistent application of disciplinary measures.
Policy & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies.
Support the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and employee handbooks.
Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on sensitive or high-risk cases.
Manager & Employee Advisory
Coach managers on effective people management, performance management, and handling employee concerns.
Provide guidance on employee lifecycle matters, including onboarding, performance improvement plans, leaves, and separations.
Act as a trusted advisor to employees, promoting open communication and early resolution of issues.
Engagement & Culture
Support employee engagement initiatives and help address workplace concerns impacting morale and productivity.
Identify trends and root causes of employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability.
HR Partnership & Reporting
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (TA, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll) to support business needs.
Prepare reports and analytics related to employee relations cases, trends, and outcomes.
Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation of all ER cases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist or similar role), with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment standards, and HR best practices.
Proven experience in conducting investigations and handling complex ER cases.
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Amenable to work onsite and in shifting schedule
