Position Summary
The REO Title Coordinator supports Real Estate Owned operations by ensuring accurate title-related data management, deed recording verification, tax research, title report follow-up, and timely information entry. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, supporting business operations, and driving efficient loan resolution processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deed Recording Verification: Verify foreclosure deed recordings through BKFS and other approved systems. Enter recording information accurately and ensure all supporting documentation is maintained.
Tax Review and Maintenance: Research and input tax information using online tax resources, tax certificates, and servicing systems. Validate tax details and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Title Information Entry and Report Follow-up: Enter title data accurately into company systems. Track and follow up with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of title reports.
Accuracy in Data Maintenance: Maintain complete and accurate records across all systems. Review data for consistency, completeness, and compliance with company requirements.
Data Analysis and Quality Assurance: Analyze title-related information with a high degree of accuracy. Ensure all tasks are completed within established timelines and service level expectations.
Support to the Client's Team: Provide dependable operational support to internal business partners by responding to requests, providing status updates, and assisting with title-related inquiries.
Process Efficiency and Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying process improvements that enhance turnaround times and reduce operational delays. Partner with management to document, communicate, and implement policy and procedure changes.
Additional Duties
Monitor workflow queues and prioritize assignments based on business needs and deadlines.
Coordinate with vendors, attorneys, county recording offices, and tax authorities when necessary.
Escalate issues that may impact timelines, compliance requirements, or service delivery.
Participate in training initiatives and support process documentation efforts.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in mortgage servicing, REO operations, title review, foreclosure, or related field preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and servicing systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
